Environment-friendly F339X1 capacitors (X1 electromagnetic interference, EMI) target industrial power

A science report has released a new model of X1 electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression film capacitors with voltage ratings of 330 VAC and 480 VAC for standard X1 across-the-line applications (50 Hz / 60 Hz) in industrial power electronics.

The F339X1 480 V capacitor has features of an internal series construction designed for high capacitance stability, therefore making its suitability for persistent operation in across-the-line applications in industrial power applications and for capacitive power supplies, even under extreme ambient environments.

 

With its internal construction, the capacitor is an optimized X1 EMI suppression film capacitor for pulse loads of uncontrolled mains switching, such as power inverters, in standard across-the-line applications.

 

The capacitors offer higher AC voltage ratings than most standard EMI suppression film capacitors while continuing to meet safety approvals, including IEC 60384-14, CSA-E384-14, UL 60384-14, and CQC. The capacitors offer lead pitches from 7.5 mm to 27.5 mm, capacitance values from 0.001 μF to 2.2 μF, and a permissible DC voltage up to 1000 V.

 

Climate-tested according to IEC 60068-1 (55/110/56/B), the package of the devices consists of a flame-retardant UL-class 94 V-0 plastic case, which is epoxy resin-sealed. Supplied loose in a box or taped on reel, the lead (Pb)-free capacitors are RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and Vishay GREEN. (The Vishay GREEN designation means that a component has less than 900 ppm of antimony and less than 100 ppm of red phosphorous, is halogen-free, and is RoHS-compliant without exemptions.)
